91³Ô¹ÏÍø THEATRE TO PRESENT MR. MARMALADE
91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre will present Mr. Marmalade by Noah Haidle on November 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 2011 at 7:30 pm in the Bridges/Larson Theatre of the Snow Fine Arts Center on the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø campus, 201 Donaghey, in Conway.
Lucy, a 4 year-old, is left alone far too many times by her mother. Her only desire is to have tea with her
imaginary friend, Mr. Marmalade, but he’s too busy at the office. This dark comedy explores the way children absorb adult issues and what it takes for them to grow up in these troubled times. A 2005 Off-Broadway hit,
Mr. Marmalade is recommended for adult audiences only.
The play is under the direction of associate professor, Dr. Kevin T. Browne with set design by associate
professor, Shauna C. Meador. Costume design is by Eriko Terao with lighting design by Josh Anderson, both 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre students.
The play will be 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre’s entry in the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) and will be viewed by an independent respondent who could recommend the production be included for possible selection to the KCACTF Region VI festival to be held at the University of Oklahoma in February, 2012.
Tickets for Mr. Marmalade are $10 each for the general public and 2 free with a current 91³Ô¹ÏÍø I.D. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made by calling 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Ticket Central at 501-450-3265.
