91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre renews 10-year national accreditation

The National Association of Schools of Theatre at a recent meeting voted to continue 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s good standing for an additional ten year period.This action was taken following a self-study and site visit and upon review of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø by the NAST Commission on Accreditation.

The Commission commended the faculty and leadership of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø theatre program (a unit of the Department of Mass Communication and Theatre) for their “dedication and enthusiastic commitment to their students.” The Commission further commended 91³Ô¹ÏÍø for “a university culture and climate that supports the development of theatre as a center of future excellence.”

91³Ô¹ÏÍø is one of only two universities in the state with NAST accreditation and the only one accredited with a Liberal Arts (generalist) Theatre program.
