Eric Deitz of Little Rock, a senior in 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Honors College, has been awarded a Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. The grant is $2,650, and 91³Ô¹ÏÍø will add matching funds in the amount of $1,250.
Deitz’s research project, “Spark”, is a short film dealing with issues of tolerance in our society. Bruce Hutchinson and Mike Gunter of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Department of Mass Communications and Theatre will serve as faculty mentors for the project.
