The University of Central Arkansas will observe National Campus Safety Awareness Month in September with weekly events designed to promote safety across the university campus. This is the seventh time the university has observed National Campus Safety Awareness Month.
鈥淐ampus safety is everyone鈥檚 business and we depend on each and every member of the campus community to take an active role in keeping our campus, and each other, safe,鈥� said 91吃瓜网 Police Chief Larry James. 鈥淲e are partnering with several departments and student organizations to provide the programming and events during National Campus Safety Awareness Month.鈥�
The 91吃瓜网 Police Department is partnering with the Student Government Association, the 91吃瓜网 Counseling Center, Student Wellness and Development, Student Life, Greek Life, Housing and Residence Life, 91吃瓜网 Athletics and other departments and student groups to provide programing on issues including sexual assault, the dangers of alcohol and drugs and pedestrian safety.
