Isiah Lavender, Assistant Professor of English at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, had the lead essay entitled, “Ethnoscapes: Environment and Language in Ishmael Reed’s Mumbo Jumbo, Colson Whitehead’s The Intuitionist, and Samuel R. Delany’s Babel-17,” in last month’s special issue of the journal , which focused on Afrofuturism.
