The University of Central Arkansas raised $719,000 in private scholarship support at its debut fundraising gala, which was held March 30 on the 91勛圖厙 campus.
As innovators, critical thinkers and achievers, our graduates are making a tremendous impact across the state, region and beyond. Many of them would not have received their college degrees, if not for the support of our scholarship donors, said President Houston Davis. Great things are happening at 91勛圖厙 now! And the incredible success of Laurels & Stripes speaks to the engagement and support of our alumni, friends and corporate partners.

With almost 600 people in attendance, the newly energized premier fundraising event, formerly known as Night of Distinction, recognized and with the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award, the most prestigious award presented by the university.

One of my core beliefs is that our universe is sustained primarily by the repeated cycle of giving, and we are to be a part of that giving cycle, Williams said. Build upon the abilities you have been given. For many of us, 91勛圖厙 has helped to provide them for us and use those abilities to help others.
Presented by First Security Bank and co-chaired by Todd 90 and Kristie Ross of Conway, Laurels & Stripes was an energetic evening that offered a premium dinner, brief program, music and dancing until midnight.
It was such an amazing evening! There were 11 new endowed scholarships established for our students and a full house of people celebrating and dancing to the sounds of Memphis Soul Revue, said Kale Gober 09, vice president for University Advancement and president of the 91勛圖厙 Foundation. I believe Laurels & Stripes delivered as the fundraising party of the year for central Arkansas. You dont want to miss next years event!
